How we use cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for this site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising. We only use the optional ones if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time.

Required

These are always on because the site needs them. They stay in your browser, are not shared with anyone, and are never used for advertising.

Analytics (optional)

With your permission we use Google Analytics to see which pages are read, how visitors arrive and where they leave, so we can improve the site. Reports are aggregated.

Marketing (optional)

With your permission we use Google Ads conversion tracking to see which of our ads lead to enquiries, and remarketing, which may show our ads to you on other websites. Google may also set its own cookies on Google domains.

Videos

Some project pages include a YouTube video. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video is served from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may then store information in your browser under Google’s cookie policy.

Google Search Console

We also use Google Search Console to see how the site performs in Google Search. It works from Google’s own search data and does not place cookies in your browser.

Changing your choice

Use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page. If you turn analytics or marketing off, we delete the Google cookies this site set and stop loading Google’s scripts. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings. To learn more about how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
