How we
work

Whether you are scaling up or fixing campaigns that stopped working, we tie every dollar of spend to the leads it brings in.

04
01

Audit & research

We review your account, competitors and search terms to find where budget is working and where it leaks.

02

Build & write

Tightly themed campaigns, ad copy written around your real selling points, and landing pages that convert.

03

Test & refine

Ongoing A/B tests on ads and pages, bid and budget changes, and negative keywords added every week.

04

Report on leads

Clear reporting on calls, forms and cost per lead, not just clicks and impressions.

Our
experience

Twenty years of paid search, managed by people who read the search terms.

We ran our first Google campaigns when the platform was still called AdWords, the competition was thinner and clicks were cheap. A lot has changed since: smart bidding, Performance Max, broad match that is far broader than it sounds, and click prices in some legal categories that now run well past a hundred dollars.

What hasn’t changed is how we work. Every account we manage is looked after by someone who knows your business, reads the search terms report line by line, and can tell you exactly what last month’s spend produced.

01

Google Ads, from AdWords to Performance Max

We have managed search, display, remarketing, YouTube and Performance Max campaigns across two decades of platform changes. That history matters, because we know where Google’s automation earns its keep and where it quietly spends your budget: broad match without a strong negative list, Performance Max bidding on your own brand name, or display ads served inside mobile games. We use automation where the data supports it and keep tight manual control where every click is expensive.

02

Microsoft Ads, the channel others skip

Microsoft Advertising reaches people searching on Bing, Edge and Windows. That audience leans older, more professional and more desktop-based, which is often exactly who hires a lawyer, an accountant or an investment manager. Clicks usually cost less than on Google. We don’t just import Google campaigns and walk away; we adjust bids, ad copy and schedules for how that audience actually behaves.

03

Paid social, used where it fits

Meta and LinkedIn campaigns work well for remarketing, recruiting, B2B services and building awareness for a new practice or office. We are also honest when they are the wrong tool: someone who was just charged with an offence or served with divorce papers searches for help, they don’t wait for an ad in their feed. We recommend social when it supports your search campaigns, not as a default line item.

04

Landing pages we design and build ourselves

Because we are also a web design studio with more than 250 websites behind us, we never have to send paid traffic to a generic home page. We build focused landing pages for each campaign: a headline that matches the search, your strongest selling points, proof from real credentials, a short form and a phone number that dials with one tap on mobile. Then we A/B test them, because a better page lowers your cost per lead as much as a better bid.

05

Tracking that counts leads, not clicks

Clicks and impressions are easy to report and nearly useless on their own. We set up Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, call tracking and form tracking so each campaign is judged on the enquiries it produced. Where your intake process allows, we feed qualified leads back into Google Ads so the bidding learns the difference between a real prospective client and a tire-kicker.

06

Fixing accounts that stopped working

Many clients come to us with an account that was built years ago, or one managed by someone who reports impressions instead of enquiries. The same problems come up again and again: spend on searches that have nothing to do with the business, campaigns targeting an entire province when the firm serves one city, ads running at three in the morning with no one to answer the phone, and conversion tracking that counts page views as leads. We start every engagement with an audit, so you know what we found before we change anything.

07

ChatGPT Ads, the newest channel

OpenAI now shows ads in ChatGPT, including in Canada, so a business can appear alongside the answer when someone asks for a recommendation. It is a different kind of placement: the ad sits next to a conversation rather than a list of links, so the message has to be specific and genuinely useful. Eligibility depends on the industry and the country. OpenAI currently accepts ads for legal services only in the United States, from advertisers licensed there, so we run ChatGPT campaigns for clients who are eligible today and keep law firm clients ready for the day the policy opens up.

Quick question

Are you looking to improve your firm’s PPC?

Data-driven
strategy

Decisions come from your campaign data, not guesswork or platform defaults.

Selling points
first

We learn what makes you different, so the ads say it before a competitor does.

Precise
targeting

Location, schedule and audience settings tuned to the clients you actually want.

Transparent
reporting

You see what you spend, what it produced, and what we are changing next.

For law
firms

Why law firm PPC is its own discipline.

We have worked with more than 100 law firms, from sole practitioners to multi-office firms. Legal advertising has its own economics, its own rules and its own way of turning a click into a client, and we build every legal account around all three.

01

Some of the most expensive clicks on Google

Legal keywords are consistently among the costliest in Google Ads, especially for personal injury, criminal defence and family law in a market like the Greater Toronto Area. At those prices, a handful of irrelevant searches a day adds up to thousands of dollars a month. We build tight keyword lists and long negative lists that filter out law students, legal job seekers, people looking for free advice, and searchers in cities you don’t serve. If your firm takes legal aid certificates, we build for that too.

02

Ads written within the Law Society’s rules

The Law Society of Ontario’s rules on marketing legal services require advertising that is accurate, verifiable and not misleading, and they restrict calling a lawyer a “specialist” unless they are certified. We know those rules and write within them. Your ads lead with real, provable strengths, such as years of practice, languages spoken, court experience or a free initial consultation, rather than claims a regulator would question.

03

Built around your intake

A paid lead is only worth what happens when the phone rings. We schedule ads around the hours your intake team can answer, use call assets so mobile searchers can dial straight from the ad, and track calls by campaign. We also talk with you about response times and missed calls, because that is often where the cheapest gains in a legal PPC account are hiding.

04

Budgets by practice area and by office

Most firms do more than one thing. We give each practice area its own campaigns and budget, so a busy family law campaign doesn’t starve your employment or real estate work. Firms with more than one office get location targeting and ad copy for each office, so a searcher in Mississauga sees the Mississauga address and phone number.

FAQ

Questions we hear most

It depends on your market, competition and goals. We recommend a starting budget after reviewing your search volumes and competitors, then adjust once we see real cost-per-lead data.

Paid search can produce enquiries within days of launch. The first weeks are for learning; performance usually improves as we refine targeting and copy.

Yes. We have worked with over 100 law firms and know how legal searches, competition and intake work.

You do. Campaigns run in your account and you keep full access and history.

Our management fee is separate from your ad spend, which is paid directly to Google or Microsoft. We quote management once we understand the size and number of campaigns involved, so you know both numbers before anything launches.

Yes. With read-only access we can review your account structure, search terms, tracking and landing pages, and tell you plainly what is working and what isn’t, whether or not you decide to move the account to us.

Usually, yes. PPC brings in enquiries immediately and lets you test which messages and practice areas convert, while SEO builds traffic that doesn’t cost per click. The search terms data from PPC also tells us which keywords are worth targeting organically.
